This Valentine’s Day, give some love to Franklin!
This Valentine’s Day, we’re launching our annual fund drive with a goal that might seem ambitious—but we know our community can do it. We need to raise $20,000 in the next 6 weeks to continue supporting the programs and experiences that make Franklin special.
Why This Matters
Franklin PTSA operates on an annual budget of $100,000. So far this year, we’ve raised $24,000—which means we need your help to close the gap and continue serving our 1,200 students, their families, and the incredible staff who show up for them every day.
As a Title I school, Franklin’s strength has always come from our community working together. Your donation doesn’t just fill a budget line—it creates real, tangible impact for real students and families:
- It feeds our community. PTSA provides food for school events and runs concession stands that boost morale while helping student groups raise extra funds for their activities and programs.
- It empowers student groups. We provide small grants to clubs, athletics teams, and individual teachers who have innovative ideas but lack the funding to make them happen.
- It supports our most vulnerable students. We maintain a special fund dedicated to providing basic needs and essential support to our newcomer immigrant students as they build their new lives here.
- It opens doors to new experiences. Your donations support field trips and student experiences that broaden horizons and create memories that last a lifetime.
- It honors our educators. We host teacher and staff appreciation events throughout the year—each one costing several thousand dollars. These events recognize the amazing faculty and staff who pour their hearts into our students every single day.
- It celebrates achievements. We fund program celebrations and provide free graduation yard signs to every senior family. This year, we’re hosting a special family graduation party so extended families can celebrate together.
Every Dollar Makes a Difference
Just $100 could help cover a staff appreciation event. $250 could fund a club’s special project. $500 helps the Asian Student Association host the Lunar New Year celebration. $1,000 could make a transformative difference in our newcomer support fund.
Gifts of any size matter. Whether you can give $10, $50, or $500, your donation is an investment in our students and a vote of confidence in our community.
Together, we can reach $20,000 in 6 weeks. Together, we can ensure that every student has access to the experiences, support, and recognition they deserve. Together, we build a school where students feel supported, teachers feel valued, and families feel connected.
All donations are tax-deductible. Give today and show your love for Franklin High School.
With gratitude and love,
The Franklin PTSA Board
